H&L will work with you to make your project better than you imagined.
You’ve fallen in love with a building - and can see in your mind’s eye everything it can be, with the help of skilled and experienced professionals. Maybe the building lives only on paper or is a tarnished beauty waiting to be restored to its original glory, or perhaps it is a unique structure that will be re-envisioned as a hybrid space marrying old with new. When sheet metal restoration or fabrication -- or custom roofing-- is involved, Heather & Little will help you navigate the journey ahead.
Here at Heather & Little, our artisans have worked on construction and preservation projects across North America and have collaborated with owners, architects and contractors to achieve exceptional (and often award-winning) results. While we’ve worked on many famous public landmarks, we have also had the opportunity to bring our expertise to luxury residences and privately owned historic homes. With almost a century of experience, Heather & Little can rise to any challenge, whether it's fabricating new metal features for an innovative building design or replacing lost or damaged metalwork using only old photographs as reference.
Roofs and Walls
We install new and replace old roofs for both historic and contemporary buildings, and work with a wide range of roofing materials, including Sheet Metal, Slate and Cedar. In fact, we fabricate our own Metal Shingles and Tiles to ensure quality and the ability to deliver the right design. We also install custom metal wall cladding and architectural panels.
We’ve been making metal-clad doors and windows, also known as Kalamein doors and windows since they first became an architectural statement in the 1920s, and we continue to fabricate them to suit both a modern esthetic or match existing historic architecture. We work in Bronze, Copper, Zinc, Stainless Steel and Galvanized steel.
We fabricate and install a wide range of decorative metal elements to enhance contemporary designs as well as historically accurate reproductions. Whatever your project calls for: cornices, balustrades, finials, decorative stamped metal, cupolas, steeples, (even statues) we have the expertise to deliver work that preserves what is unique while bringing a building up to modern safety or accessibility standards.
